1. Measurement of brain spike (Acute) on the desk-E

Japanese

Acute-101.jpg

This schematic view shows that the record of neuron spikes from the brain can be performed on the desk, without using large-sized and expensive electrophysiology equipments such as traditional oscilloscope and pollygraph.  The nerve signal from the brain fixed to stereotaxic instrument is detected throug microelectrode inserted in the brain  with small microelectrode probe (bio-preamplifier), and is recorded to the personal computer through the A/D converter.  The WEL software for data acquisition is installed in the personal computer.  The spike signals from the added probe, and stimulator signals and other electrical signals are also simultaneously recordable up to eight channels through the same A/D converter.  That is, WEL software records experimental data and can analyze the simple data during experiments, or the complex data are analyzed in details after the experiments.
